Internet Explorer Flaw Fixed Or Is It?

0

Microsoft has fixed a flaw in it’s browser that effects every version of Internet Explorer on all versions of Windows and would allow malicious software exploits.

It is recommended to download this patch from the official Microsoft website to protect yourself from this particular malicious exploit.

It is things like this that makes me pleased that I switched from Windows and Internet Explorer to Kubuntu and Firefox really.

Since the amount of vulnerabilities that is known in Windows or even Internet Explorer is increasingly growing concerning from my point of view.

You could say that it can happen on any other browser and it might well do but that is not to say that in this case an alarming amount of people will not be effected because Windows and Internet Explorer is the most used and users are still choosing to not keep them selfs updated but most of the worst offenders with this our businesses and offices.

Since everyone is still using older versions of Internet Explorer on their Windows operating systems which I believe to be a unbelievable statistic to say the least when you think of the many people that are using outdated Internet Explorer browsers out there that can be exploited.

It would not be the same if you used alternatives though because more people like it or not are using Windows and Internet Explorer outdated or not than anything else currently out there.

So if you think of it from that point of view then you will see that with other browsers it would not have the same effect on a global scale effecting people like it has with Windows and Internet Explorer.

However accurate this is or not you cannot ignore a statistic and with that you would think that Microsoft would allow it’s browser to be automatically updated so there is no need for manual updates.

I am not aware if they do this but if they already do this then possibly in a more effective way would help keep everyone protected.

And with all due respect if you are using a older version of Internet Explorer your stabbing yourself in the back so to speak because it is very important that you do update your software to keep yourself protected from such malicious exploits of the future.

Well, that is until Microsoft does get it’s act together and starts doing things to resolve the issues of people not updating their software.

If Microsoft can do it with Windows (with the please restart your computer every 10 minutes when installing updates) automatically for Windows then surely they can do something to help those that are not updated when it comes to Internet Explorer.

I guess it’s up to you to decide what the real “flaw” is in all of this when it concerns this issue.

But if Microsoft does not sort the real issues here and they allow it’s users to be exploited because of being careless on this issue then there is always alternatives in the browser market. ;)

L(o)(o)k At Communities First

1

I think it’s really important that the general public really look at certain communities before they jump in and get too involved with them.

I think with communities you need a good management that can host without getting into debates and making it too personal.

For example,

There are many Administrators and Moderators out there that do not act professionally or according to the guidelines set to them and in any given situation they can make you the member look bad.

Because in all honesty I believe it to be down to the professional management of such a community or forum that can bring the kind of success that the founders of that site want while keeping it a respectful and friendly place for you the general public to give your input.

That and also the management maintaining a shadow-like involvement if you like of that particular community or forum and by just letting others have those kind of debates makes your job much easier.

Then if the need be that you the management have to get into a situation because it escalates to some extent the right thing a Administrator would do is take the person causing the problem out of the equation while keeping within the guidelines or rules set.

It does not matter if they are apart of your team fellow (Administrator - Moderator) or not when you go round and start abusing your privileges like that your setting a bad example not just for that certain individual but for the whole management and the community and forum.

It does not set a very good perspective on people coming back to your community and they end up going elsewhere.

That being said, before you get involved with any particular community or forum it’s good to have a good look as a guest before you jump into the deep end so to speak and become a member of that particular community.

Becoming a member of a community in which you are unsure of is like your first day at school. As you don’t know who people are and you don’t know how they will respond to your input so it’s always best to just observe a while before registering.

So basically don’t just jump in and register, observe the community and it’s management and then act on what you see and then after careful consideration join.

Because at the end of the day, we all deserve to join a community or forum were the management and a significant part of it’s users have respect for each other and were you feel your input will be valued at the very same time. ;)
